What is Consignment?
Source only sells your items on a consignment basis; where you deliver your item to Source and get paid once it sells. We charge a commission and in return your item will be marketed to our community including on our website, and in social media, e-newsletters and META advertising campaigns.
Unfortunately we cannot take every item. Source reserves the right to refuse items that do not align with our brand, or are not to our high standard.
What commission fees does Source charge?
25% for items $1 - $999
20% for items $1,000 - $3,999
15% for items $4,000 - $8,999
10% for items over $9,000
How do I send my item in for consignment?
Once the consignment and sale price has been agreed, we provide instructions via email. We offer free collection on the Gold Coast, or free postage Australia wide.
Are there any additional costs?
If you’re unable to provide original receipts/authentication card, Source will authenticate your item using Entrupy’s global verification technology. The cost of this is $45 and payable by the consignor. Additional costs may include cleaning and repairs. Costs can be taken from your final pay-out once the item sells. If an item doesn’t sell, consignors are responsible for these costs and return shipping.
How soon do I get paid once my item sells?
Payment is typically made via bank transfer within 7 business days from the sale date, and after the customer return period expires.
Do you authenticate all items you sell?
Everything we sell must be authentic. If original receipts can’t be provided, we authenticate using in-house expertise and Entrupy’s AI-powered global verification technology. The cost is $45 and payable by the consignor.
What happens if my item is not authentic?
If an item fails our authenticity checks, a fee of $150 is payable to cover authentication, administration and return postage costs.
What happens if my item doesn’t sell?
After the agreed consignment agreement period of minimum 90 days, if your item hasn’t sold you can request the return of your item. Consignors are responsible for the return shipping cost.
How long after you receive my item, will it appear for sale?
Due to our regualar 'Latest Drop’ format on Instagram, there may be a 1-2 week period before your item is featured. Our experience in creating hype around the drop, means it’s worth the wait.
Why should I trust Source with my handbag?
